Aquarium

Today was kind of long. Woke up at 8:30AM to meet CJ at the Temple to go to the market and the aquarium. Grabbed a bread pocket stuffed with broccoli for breakfast, and we headed down to the aquarium. For €3, it was a rip off. In any case, I got to get into the Fonte Aretusa, which was what I really wanted. I also figured that one of the employees was a tranny, because I’ve never heard a woman with a voice that deep in my entire life.

We ended up finishing at around 10:30AM, which left us with about three hours and absolutely nothing to do. We went to school and checked email and just hung out. I bought another 51oz bottle of water for €0.35. Pretty sweet.

During class, we learned about commonly used sentences while shopping. We were also split into four groups and sent on a treasure hunt around Ortigia. My group ended up finishing earlier because two of the questions were on the aquarium, so I already knew the answers and we didn’t have to run down there. We won the hunt, and as a reward, we were given clay figurines of the trinacria.

Went back to the apartment because I was starving, ate dinner, and watched MTV in Italiano with Christy and Janice. Loaded a bunch of pictures onto my computer. Christy, Emily, and I then went out for some gelato (I got some panna cotta flavor.)

Not a very exciting day. Oh well. Here are some more pictures I took at some point or another.
